Confidence & Self-Esteem
Hypnosis for self-love
Be your own ally.
Self-Love is a session for people who are hard on themselves. It focuses on becoming your own ally by rehearsing a kinder voice inside your head.
The track guides you through a gentler way of speaking to yourself for a few minutes.
The voice in your head is not usually kind. It points out the error in the email you sent three years ago and lists the ways you fell short today, long after the work is done.
You would never speak to another person the way you speak to yourself when the lights go out.
What’s in it
A warmer, kinder way of meeting yourself and a steady sense of being worthy of care.
Why do it
Self-love grows by being practiced, so a few minutes here softens how you treat yourself all day long.

Timeline: Start to Finish
The build keeps bringing the attention back to the idea of being an ally. Rehearsing a warmer way of meeting yourself is the main task, so the suggestion block is where the practice happens.
3 of the 4 stages are named techniques with a published origin, credited under each.

Three ways to say it
The same goal, written three ways. You pick the one that sounds like something you would believe — and you can hear a different one tomorrow without rebuilding anything.
Balanced
Become your own ally and let a warm, steady self-kindness take root. The default.
Future self
Meet the version of you who already lives at ease, warm and kind toward yourself.
New identity
Step into being your own ally now, kind to yourself with nothing to earn.
Where it sits
Walking in steadier, and how you speak to yourself when nobody is listening.
Before you press play
Hypnosis is not for everyone. If you have epilepsy, a psychotic illness, or you are under psychiatric care, talk to your clinician before using this — here or anywhere.
Why this works — and what the research actually says
Group-level, not session-level: no study has tested this exact session, and we will not pretend otherwise. Every source below was opened and read on 2026-08-25 before it was quoted.
Why do it as hypnosis?
Trying to think your way into being kind does not work, because the part of you doing the thinking is the part doing the criticising.
This settles the body first and then spends the middle of the session on one specific task: rehearsing the words you would say to a friend, but directing them at yourself.
It is not a quick fix; it is the deliberate repetition of a warmer tone.
Self-esteem: one good trial, in one specific group
Ninety-five women who had finished cancer treatment were randomly assigned either to eight weeks of group self-hypnosis and self-care, or to a waiting list.
Self-esteem rose in the hypnosis group and barely moved in the control group. It is a real result — and it is one study, in one population, where self-esteem was not the main thing being measured.
- 95 women who had completed cancer treatment, eight weekly sessions
- Self-esteem improved; the waiting-list group barely changed
- A secondary outcome, in a specific group — not the general public
Worth knowing: Self-esteem was a secondary outcome, not what the trial was designed to test. The participants were cancer survivors and overwhelmingly women, an imbalance the authors flag as unexpected.
They also note that "other late measurement times could have been useful to investigate the long-term evolution".
The exact wording and figures
Ninety-five women who had completed cancer treatment were randomised to group self-hypnosis and self-care, or to a wait-list.
Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale scores rose from 29.63 to 31.83 in the hypnosis group (d = 0.46, p < .001). The wait-list control group showed negligible change (d = 0.16, p = .857).
Published in Quality of Life Research. Included because it is a real randomised trial carrying a self-esteem measure, and hedged because of who was in it.
