The best hypnosis apps depend on your goal and preferred format.
Disclosure: We make Intropi, and Intropi is first on this list.
That creates an obvious conflict. Check our reasoning against each linked official site. All twenty are linked below.

How we compared
We compared published product information available on 2026-08-23:
- every official site represented in this list
- pricing and platforms from each company's own pages
- our own 42-domain crawl of the hypnosis category
The crawl helped us find gaps in the public information. Deep hypnosis content and useful personalisation mattered most.
Broad device access came next. Clear pricing and a way to begin tonight also helped.
This is a source review, not long-term hands-on testing of all twenty apps. We did not use every product for months. A public page can show what a company offers, but not how each session will feel after weeks of use.
Prices change. Check the linked home or pricing page before paying.

1. intropi

intropi homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Intropi turns a goal written in your own words into personalised hypnosis. The current library contains 1,210 recordings across 191 Self topics.
Its 908 guided sessions add up to 211 hours of audio. The catalogue also includes 113 guided journeys.
Best for. Intropi suits someone who wants a broad library plus sessions shaped around a personal goal. Voice and length choices make the free daily practice easier to fit around tonight.
Platforms and price.
- Platforms: iPhone through the App Store, Android through Google Play, plus web
- Free: one fresh short session daily, voice and length choices, streaks, and dashboard
- Premium: $9.99 per month for the full library plus Stargate
Where it falls short. The free tier is one session a day. The full library and Stargate need Premium, so a free account is a taste of the method rather than a course through it.
Ranking our own product first asks more of the evidence. The breadth and personalisation support that choice.
Free daily access and published pricing strengthen the case. The one-session free day counts against Intropi for anyone who wants a full course without paying.
2. Reveri

Reveri homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Reveri is a mobile self-hypnosis app built around short, voice-guided interactive sessions. Answers from the user shape AI-generated sessions for health and habit goals.
The app comes from Dr David Spiegel, Associate Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University and author of more than 400 research papers.
Best for. Reveri fits people who want brief self-hypnosis that responds to their answers. The app covers pain and stress. Separate sessions address sleep and focus. Habit change is another published goal.
Reveri also reaches both iPhone and Android users, though unlike Intropi it offers no web player.
Platforms and price.
- Platforms: iOS and Android
- Price: $25 monthly or $99 annually
- Free access: one session without a trial, plus a seven-day trial for new members
Where it falls short. Reveri has no dedicated public pricing page. The exact price we found appears on an official campaign-specific partner page.
That makes the standard checkout price harder to verify before joining. We found no official library-size count, so this comparison does not estimate one.
3. Mindset Health / Nerva

Mindset Health homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Mindset Health makes Nerva, a self-guided six-week programme for IBS and other disorders of gut-brain interaction. The core combines daily gut-directed hypnotherapy audio with education.
Symptom tracking and breathing exercises support the programme. The 42 core sessions were developed with Dr Simone Peters, a psychophysiologist at Monash University.
Best for. Nerva is the strongest specialist choice here for someone with diagnosed IBS or another gut-brain disorder. Its narrow purpose can be more useful than a broad wellness library when digestive symptoms are the reason for looking.
Platforms and price.
- Platforms: iOS, Android, and web
- Price: $199 for 12 months, or $149.25 with a healthcare-practitioner referral
- Free access: an assessment of about ten minutes and a seven-day full-programme trial
Where it falls short. The standard public offer lasts 12 months, while the core programme lasts six weeks. Someone seeking a short purchase cannot choose a matching six-week plan from the published offer.
Nerva does not publish a separate count for maintenance, flare-up, or support content beyond the 42 core sessions. We left that total unstated.
4. Clear Minds

Clear Minds homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Clear Minds is a mobile hypnotherapy app with more than 350 sessions. The catalogue begins with hypnotherapy and meditation.
Breathwork sits alongside dedicated sleep material. Other wellness sessions broaden the range.
An intake quiz guides users toward a starting point. Clear Minds says the sessions were developed with recognised hypnotherapists.
Best for. Clear Minds fits someone who wants a broad, frequently updated library rather than one fixed course. Coverage stretches from sleep support to health and habit goals.
Platforms and price.
- Platforms: iOS and Android
- Price: £12.95 monthly, £29 quarterly, £59.97 yearly, or £195.95 lifetime
- Free access: seven-day trial with full access from day one
Where it falls short. Our crawl found an email-capture prompt on 399 of 400 Clear Minds pages. That is a measurable part of the public browsing experience, not a judgment about the sessions.
We confirmed mobile availability from the official app page. The crawl did not expose direct store destinations, and no web player was confirmed, so web access is not listed.
5. Hypnosis Downloads

Hypnosis Downloads homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Hypnosis Downloads sells more than 1,300 self-hypnosis MP3 audios. Buyers can purchase a narrow topic and keep the download rather than depend on an all-access subscription.
The site also sells written scripts. Packs and courses widen the format beyond single audios. A credit-based Growth Zone membership adds another route.
Best for. This is the strongest choice for buying and keeping one targeted recording. Practitioners who want written hypnosis scripts have a route that most consumer apps do not offer.
Platforms and price.
- Platforms: iOS, Android, and web
- Price: $14.95 per audio or script; Growth Zone costs $21.95 monthly for one credit every two weeks
- Free access: one introductory session, four courses, the listening app, and a free account
Where it falls short. New audios and scripts cannot be bought inside the mobile app. Customers must complete new purchases on the website, then use the app for listening.
The homepage announces a higher $18.95 single-download price from 2026-09-01. A replacement Growth Zone price after that date was not published, so we did not infer one.
6. Pzizz

Pzizz homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Pzizz is a sleep-audio app rather than a broad hypnosis catalogue. Its system remixes music with voiceover. Sound effects add another layer.
The main modules cover sleep and power naps. A separate focus module is also available.
Pzizz describes more than 100 billion possible sequences. That number refers to algorithmic combinations, not a library of discrete recordings.
Best for. Pzizz is the clearest fit for someone focused on sleep or power naps. Configurable audio and remixed sequences offer more variation than a fixed bedtime recording.
That narrow focus also makes the choice clearer. Pzizz is a specialist sleep tool rather than a general self-hypnosis library.
Platforms and price.
- Platforms: iOS and Android
- Price: $7.99 monthly or $49.99 yearly
- Free access: Classic Pzizz content and features
Where it falls short. Pzizz does not present a library of topic-specific hypnosis sessions. Its published modules centre on sleep and naps. Focus is the other named module.
Someone seeking hypnosis for confidence, habits, pain, or another personal-change goal will find broader coverage elsewhere in this table. No browser playback product was confirmed, so the platform row stays mobile-only.
7. Primed Mind

Primed Mind homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Primed Mind is a mindset-coaching app with more than 300 short audio primers. The recordings combine hypnosis with guided visualisation and performance coaching.
Topics cover preparation and focus. Other primers address confidence and stress. Sleep has dedicated content too.
Users select a topic rather than receiving a confirmed quiz-built or per-user-generated session.
Best for. Primed Mind fits performance-focused users who want a large audio library before a demanding event. Elliot Roe developed the catalogue from his work as a mindset and performance coach.
Platforms and price.
- Platforms: iOS, Android, and web
- Price: $19.99 monthly; homepage says $119.99 yearly
- Free access: selected primers, every Mindset Upgrade day-one session, and a seven-day yearly-plan trial
Where it falls short. Primed Mind's official pages give two annual prices. The homepage says $119.99 per year, while the official FAQ says $199.99.
We used the homepage amount in the detailed row because that is the primary product page. The conflict remains unresolved, so a buyer should confirm the checkout total before subscribing.
8. Oneleaf

Oneleaf homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Oneleaf offers more than 300 guided self-hypnosis sessions across nine wellness goals. An intake quiz guides users into structured daily programmes.
The programmes range from sleep support to broader wellness goals. Access works through mobile apps and the web.
Best for. Oneleaf suits someone who wants a daily programme shaped by an intake quiz. Its structure offers more direction than searching a large open catalogue each night.
Platforms and price.
- Platforms: iOS, Android, and web
- Price: $59.99 quarterly or $119.99 yearly
- Free access: seven-day trial; no ongoing free plan confirmed
Where it falls short. The shortest published all-access plan bills a full quarter at $59.99. The membership page does not list a month-to-month all-access option.
The annual page also describes $119.99 per year as $9.99 monthly when billed annually. Those displayed figures differ by $0.11 across a year. We reproduced the annual total rather than correcting the company's page.
9. Paul McKenna

Paul McKenna homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. The Paul McKenna app is a mobile catalogue of newly recorded self-hypnosis content and plans. Users choose a goal and listen to sessions in McKenna's voice.
Paul McKenna is an international bestselling author. His books have sold more than 10 million copies and have been translated into 32 languages.
Best for. This app makes sense for readers who already want Paul McKenna's approach and voice. Published topics include sleep and confidence. Other programmes cover anxiety and weight. Behaviour-change plans are also part of the catalogue.
Platforms and price.
- Platforms: iOS and Android
- Price: no published price found on the official site
- Free access: seven-day trial with full catalogue access
Where it falls short. The official site does not publish the subscription price. A reader has to follow the app route before learning the current amount.
We also found no official library-size count. That absence prevents a useful catalogue comparison with services that publish exact totals, so we have not estimated the number of sessions.
10. Uncommon Knowledge

Uncommon Knowledge homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Uncommon Knowledge is a specialist psychology training company, not a standard consumer hypnosis app. Its Uncommon Hypnotherapy course teaches conversational hypnosis for use with clients.
The company also runs the separate Hypnosis Downloads catalogue ranked at number five. That catalogue supplies more than 1,300 consumer sessions, while this entry concerns professional learning.
Best for. Uncommon Knowledge suits practitioners who want to learn how hypnosis can fit into their existing work. Someone seeking a bedtime recording or a personalised consumer session should look higher in this list.
Platforms and price.
- Platforms: web for the course; iOS, Android, and web for the linked audio catalogue
- Price: $395 for the course
- Free access: a five-day hypnosis course and more than 40 therapy worksheets
Where it falls short. The online course does not qualify or certify a graduate to practise hypnotherapy. The provider states that limit on the course page.
Personalisation is not part of the published course offer. This is a different product shape from the nine consumer choices above, which makes direct price and library comparisons less useful.
11. Grace

Grace homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Grace is a mobile hypnotherapy library built around co-founder Grace Smith's voice. The catalogue has more than 100 prerecorded sessions. Seven-day series sit beside single sessions, so you can follow a short sequence or choose one recording for tonight.
This is a creator-led shelf rather than a generated programme. The app page also refers to custom recordings from a legacy version, but we could not confirm that they remain available now.
Best for. Grace suits someone who likes one guide and wants short sessions across several topics. The seven-day format offers more direction than a loose audio catalogue without turning the experience into a long clinical programme.
Platforms and price.
- iOS and Android
- more than 100 recordings
- standard price not published
- scholarship page says the app and recordings are free
Where it falls short. The public app page sends visitors to an external checkout without stating the standard subscription price. The usual free-versus-premium split is also undefined. A buyer cannot tell from the public page what costs money under the normal offer.
That lack of detail matters more than the absence of a discount. People comparing hypnosis apps should be able to understand the ongoing commitment before entering checkout.
12. HelloMind

HelloMind homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. HelloMind organises more than 300 treatments around its Result Driven Hypnosis method. A quiz points you toward a concern. You then work through a 10-session treatment, with shorter Boosters and Quick Fix sessions available for needs such as stress, sleep, fears, self-esteem, and habits.
The main product is a guided treatment sequence, not a shelf of unrelated tracks. That gives HelloMind a clearer route for someone who does not want to decide what to play each day.
Best for. HelloMind fits a reader who wants a structured, multi-session path for one emotional, sleep, or habit-related concern. Founder Jacob Strachotta's long-running hypnosis practice is part of the product's creator-led identity.
Platforms and price.
- iOS and Android
- $44.99 a year for one user
- $119.99 a year for a family of one to five
- $12.99 a month for one to five users
- three-day free trial
Where it falls short. The free trial lasts three days. The treatment schedule spans 10 sessions. You cannot complete the advertised treatment rhythm inside the trial unless you compress that schedule.
No browser listening product was confirmed. People who prefer a laptop or do not use a supported phone should look elsewhere.
13. Joseph Clough

Joseph Clough homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Hypnosis with Joseph Clough is a large creator catalogue. The company site lists more than 1,000 guided sessions across personal-change goals. Structured programmes sit alongside the recordings, while AI tools can generate a custom session and offer guidance for situations outside the fixed library.
That combination makes this entry different from a standard topic picker. You get one creator's established catalogue plus generated sessions shaped around your request. Joseph Clough is described as a clinical hypnotherapist and internationally certified NLP trainer with more than 20 years of experience.
Best for. This app suits someone who wants a familiar voice, broad topic coverage, and the option to create a more specific session when a shelf category feels too general.
Platforms and price.
- iOS and Android
- free to download and try
- full library requires a subscription
- subscription price not published
Where it falls short. The company FAQ does not publish the subscription amount or the exact number of sessions available without paying. You can understand the product before installing, but not the full cost or free allowance.
We also found two official library claims. The company site says 1,000+, while Apple's listing says 2,000+. We use the more conservative company figure rather than presenting the larger number as settled.
14. Glenn Harrold

Glenn Harrold homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Glenn Harrold offers a creator-led hypnosis and meditation catalogue through several routes. Ultimate Hypnosis provides subscription access on mobile and the web. Relax & Sleep Well supports individual purchases, while MP3 downloads give buyers another way to keep chosen recordings.
The current catalogue page lists more than 260 hypnosis and meditation audios and videos. The real choice here is not only the topic. You can also choose subscription, pay-as-you-go, or browser access. The recordings centre on Harrold's voice and his 28-year career.
Best for. Glenn Harrold fits people who already know they like his delivery. The range of access models also suits buyers who would rather purchase selected recordings than join another all-access library.
Platforms and price.
- iOS, Android, and web
- five free audios in Ultimate Hypnosis
- six free audios and two eBooks in Relax & Sleep Well
- monthly and annual subscription amounts not published
Where it falls short. The public catalogue confirms that monthly and yearly subscriptions exist, but does not show their exact prices before sign-up. Country-specific in-app prices were not verified either.
That makes the free content easy to understand and the paid commitment harder to compare. A legacy page also says 140+ tracks. We use the current 260+ claim.
15. Surf City Apps

Surf City Apps homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Surf City Apps is a portfolio of separate, single-topic hypnosis apps. Sleep, anxiety, weight, habits, and confidence are not sections inside one account. Each goal has its own app, fixed session, settings, and purchase.
The default version of each app can be used free. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks changes to the session settings. This model asks you to pick one problem first, then install the matching tool. The company says each script is read by a certified clinical hypnotherapist and hypnotherapy instructor.
Best for. Surf City suits someone with one narrow goal who wants to try a fixed session without starting a subscription. A person seeking only anxiety support may prefer that focus to navigating a large catalogue.
Platforms and price.
- iOS and Android, depending on the title
- free with default settings
- one-time purchase to change settings
- purchase amount not published
Where it falls short. Every topic is a separate app, and purchases do not carry across the portfolio. Building a multi-topic collection means managing several installs and buying settings separately.
Platform links also vary by title. Some pages expose both stores, while others expose only Google Play despite older iOS copy. Check the specific app you want before deciding.
16. Hypnozio

Hypnozio homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Hypnozio is a web-to-app hypnotherapy service. An assessment directs you toward a topic-specific course, while a member library provides more than 100 recorded sessions across other subjects. Listening is available through the member area and native mobile apps.
This is not only a course and not only a catalogue. The quiz gives you a starting programme, then the wider library lets you move beyond that first goal. The site says its sessions were made with four certified hypnotherapy experts.
Best for. Hypnozio fits someone who wants help choosing a starting point but also values cross-topic access after the first programme. Web access helps people who do not want every session tied to a phone.
Platforms and price.
- iOS, Android, and web
- one free session after registration
- promotional €33.00 every two months (€16.50 a month)
- promotional €53.94 every four months (€13.49 a month)
- promotional €66.00 every six months (€11.00 a month)
Where it falls short. The published prices are promotional offers, not a confirmed standard rate. They may change by locale or campaign.
Official pages also disagree on course count. The homepage says 14 courses, while checkout says eight. We can verify the 100+ session library, but not one dependable course total.
17. HypnoBox

HypnoBox homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. HypnoBox is a modular self-hypnosis builder for iOS and Android. Rather than choosing only finished recordings, you assemble a session from more than 600 suggestion modules. You can combine topics, use sessions offline, and record or import your own suggestions.
HypnoBox gives the listener more control over the script than most fixed audio libraries. Founder Bernhard Tewes is a practising Berlin hypnotherapist. His app is a better fit for active session-building than for someone who wants one recommendation and a play button.
Best for. HypnoBox suits experienced self-hypnosis listeners, people covering several topics in one session, and anyone who wants to add a recording in their own voice.
Platforms and price.
- iOS and Android
- free sessions and suggestion modules
- 12.99 EUR/USD for one month
- 39.99 EUR/USD for six months
- 59.99 EUR/USD for 12 months
Where it falls short. Purchases do not transfer between Android and iOS. Changing operating systems requires buying the software licences again.
The public terms also contain an inconsistency. The one-month row labels 12.99 EUR/USD as a six-month price. Treat the published figures as a guide and verify the current in-app checkout before paying.
18. Doddle Hypnosis

Doddle Hypnosis homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Doddle is Emilie Leyes's mobile hypnosis app. More than 200 guided recordings and seven-day series cover goals, mindset, performance, regulation, health, and sleep. The catalogue is voiced and framed around one creator rather than a rotating group of narrators.
Leyes positions the work toward ambitious creatives, actors, and performers. She is described as a certified hypnotist, brain-training specialist, and holder of a master's degree in Mind-Body Medicine. Doddle connects broad self-hypnosis topics to a defined performance-minded audience.
Best for. Doddle suits goal-oriented listeners who respond to Leyes's voice and style. Creative professionals may find the performance focus more relevant than the general wellness language used by broader apps.
Platforms and price.
- iOS and Android
- seven-day free trial
- $14.99 a month
- $99.99 a year, shown as $8.33 a month
Where it falls short. No ongoing free tier is disclosed after the seven-day trial. The app page states both mobile platforms, but we could not confirm browser listening.
The trial is long enough to sample a seven-day series, but continued access requires a paid plan. Compare that boundary with apps offering permanent free sessions if you are not ready to subscribe.
19. KURE

KURE homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. KURE offers assessment-tailored, 21-day guided hypnosis programmes for habit and wellness goals. Short boost sessions support the main daily sequence. The defined programme makes KURE closer to a guided course than a fixed shelf of recordings.
The assessment chooses a structured route instead of asking you to browse a public catalogue. That may appeal to someone who wants one daily next step and a clear end point.
Best for. KURE suits a person who wants a 21-day routine around one habit or wellness goal. Someone who prefers to inspect every session, teacher, and price before signing up will have less to work with.
Platforms and price.
- iOS and Android
- price not published
- no free tier found
- no public library size found
Where it falls short. Only the homepage was crawlable during our review because the site's robots.txt excluded the remaining pages. Store listings confirmed the two mobile platforms, but the crawlable site did not expose enough detail to verify a founder, free trial, library size, or browser product.
Limited public access is a buyer consideration in its own right. You may need to begin the assessment or install the app before you can answer questions that other services cover on public pages.
20. Harmony Hypnosis

Harmony Hypnosis homepage, captured 2026-08-23. Screenshot used for review and comparison.
What it is. Harmony Hypnosis is a portfolio of guided-hypnosis apps linked by one account. Shared subscription access covers sessions for relaxation, sleep, focus, stress, and confidence. Playlists, video explanations, reminders, and workbooks add structure beyond the recordings.
This is different from a single all-purpose app. Harmony keeps several apps while letting one membership travel across them. Founder Darren Marks is presented as an award-winning clinical hypnotherapist.
Best for. Harmony suits someone who wants one established narrator across several goals and values worksheets or explanations beside the audio. The shared account reduces some of the friction found in portfolios where every app needs a separate purchase.
Platforms and price.
- iOS and Android
- four sessions free
- seven-day trial on the annual subscription
- paid subscription amount not published
Where it falls short. The public product page refers to paid access but does not state the amount. The site describes “dozens of sessions” without a numeric total, so a direct value comparison is difficult.
Only one current product page was available for this review. You can see the access model and free allowance, but not the full catalogue size or paid commitment before sign-up.
How to choose a hypnosis app
The best hypnosis app is the one whose access model matches how you want to practise. The comparison showed five checks worth making before you install.
- Adapted or fixed: Decide whether you want a quiz, generated session, structured programme, or a shelf you browse yourself. A quiz can reduce choice. A fixed shelf lets you inspect and repeat exact recordings.
- Published price: Look for the billing period, renewal amount, trial length, and ongoing free allowance. “Free to download” does not mean the full library is free. Our Intropi pricing page shows both tiers before sign-up.
- Working platform: Check the specific app, not only the company name. Some portfolios have different store support for different titles. Web access can matter if you listen from a laptop.
- Start tonight: A library or free session may start at once. Assessment-led programmes can add a quiz. Clinical services may require a consultation. Choose the amount of guidance you want before the first recording.
- Hypnosis or relaxation: Calm music and slow breathing can be useful, but they do not alone make an audio hypnosis. Look for focused attention and suggestions tied to an outcome. Read what hypnosis is before comparing labels.
- Useful topic fit: Search the public catalogue for the goal you care about. A smaller specialist programme can beat a large general library when the route is clearer. You can browse our hypnosis topics as one example of a public shelf.
FAQ
Do hypnosis apps work?
Some people report benefits, but the evidence does not support a promise that every hypnosis app works. Research usually studies a hypnosis intervention, not the exact app, script, narrator, or recommendation system you are considering.
Judge an app by a specific goal and track your own response. Sleep research is promising but limited by small samples and variable study quality. The sleep hypnosis review calls for stronger studies.
Are hypnosis apps safe?
Hypnosis is generally viewed as low risk when delivered by a trained, experienced health professional. The NCCIH hypnosis guide gives a cautious overview.
Do not play a session while driving or doing work that needs full attention. NHS safety guidance warns that hypnotherapy may not be safe for people with schizophrenia, a history of psychosis, or epilepsy. An app should not replace urgent or ongoing mental-health care.
What is the best hypnosis app for sleep?
There is no universal winner. Choose a dedicated sleep session, a voice you can tolerate at bedtime, simple playback, and a trial or free track you can test. Intropi offers adjustable voice and length on iOS, Android and the web, while creator catalogues such as Glenn Harrold offer other voices and purchase models.
The evidence for hypnosis and sleep is promising, not conclusive. Use an app as one part of a sound sleep routine. Visit our sleep support page for the wider context.
What is the best hypnosis app for anxiety?
The right format depends on what you need. HelloMind offers a structured treatment sequence. Surf City offers a narrow single-topic app. Larger catalogues let you sample different sessions.
Evidence for hypnosis is stronger in some procedure-related anxiety settings than for anxiety in general. NCCIH says the overall evidence is not conclusive. Persistent or severe symptoms belong with a qualified professional, not an app ranking.
Is there a free hypnosis app?
Yes. Intropi has a fresh short session each day, voice and length choices, streaks, and a dashboard for $0. Surf City Apps lets you use each app with its default settings. Grace says its recordings are free through its scholarship page.
Check what “free” covers after the trial ends. A free download may contain only a sample or require payment for settings. Published entitlement matters more than the label.
Can hypnosis apps help you quit smoking?
They may help some people stay focused on a quit attempt, but there is no clear evidence that hypnotherapy works better than other smoking-cessation support. A Cochrane smoking review rated the evidence as low or extremely low certainty.
Do not replace proven stop-smoking support with an app alone. A doctor or recognised cessation service can help you compare behavioural support and medication.
Do you need a hypnotherapist instead?
An app can suit low-risk, self-directed practice. A hypnotherapist can ask questions, adapt the session in real time, and work within a broader care plan.
Choose a qualified professional when symptoms are severe, persistent, complex, or linked to trauma or a diagnosed condition. Seek urgent help for a crisis. An audio library cannot assess you.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
People respond to hypnosis to different degrees. Attention, expectations, comfort with the guide, and the setting can change the experience.
Hypnosis is not mind control and does not require losing awareness. You can stop a recording or reject a suggestion. A weak response to one session does not prove that every method will feel the same.
How long before hypnosis works?
There is no dependable universal timeline. Some people notice relaxation during one session. Habit or symptom goals may need repeated practice, and no number of sessions guarantees a result.
An app's schedule is a product design, not proof of effectiveness. HelloMind uses 10 sessions, KURE uses 21 days, and several creator apps offer seven-day series. Review progress against the goal instead of waiting for a promised breakthrough.
Are hypnosis apps better than meditation apps?
Neither category wins for everyone. Hypnosis usually combines focused attention with suggestions linked to a goal. Meditation often trains awareness of experience without steering toward the same specific suggestion.
Choose by purpose, not by label. A hypnosis app may fit sleep or confidence work. A meditation app may fit open awareness. Many services mix hypnosis, meditation, breathing, and relaxation in one library.
Conclusion
The top options separate themselves by how they guide you. Intropi adapts voice and length across a large public library. Reveri centres on short interactive self-hypnosis. Primed Mind combines performance coaching with a broad audio catalogue. Structured programmes and creator-led libraries serve different buyers better.
Intropi is free to start on Google Play and on the web at intropi.app. The iPhone app is on the App Store too, so both phones are covered.
