The Bell

One bell, struck and left to fade, and each time you follow the sound all the way down it takes you further.

You settle down to listen to a single bell that is struck and then left to fade out on its own. The session asks you to track that sound as it disappears and to notice the quiet that follows.

It repeats this process so your attention turns inward.

A single bell is struck and the sound is left to fade on its own. You follow the tone down until it disappears and then wait in the quiet for the next one.

There is no story here and nothing to solve, only the simple act of listening as the vibration settles.

What’s in it

One bell, struck and left to fade, and each time you follow the sound, it takes you further.

Why do it

Following a single sound trains your attention and lets the mind explore its own quiet spaces.

Timeline: Start to Finish

The standard-length build, block by block — the real sequence the app assembles, described rather than spoken.

3 of the 4 stages are named techniques with a published origin, credited under each.

  1. InductionStage 16 min

    Progressive Muscle Relaxation

A classic head-to-toe relaxation. Tense and release, or simply soften, each muscle group in sequence.

After Edmund Jacobson PMR (1929); Dave Elman Hypnotherapy · what progressive muscle relaxation is

  2. DeepenerStage 23 min

    Staircase Descent

Visualized stairs descending into a deeper level of trance. Each step takes you down.

After Ledochowski, Deep Trance Training Manual

  3. JourneyStage 3about 12 min

    The Bell

One bell, struck and left to fade, and each time you follow the sound all the way down it takes you further.

  4. AwakeningStage 42 min

    Calm Alert Awakening

Awake and present, but calm rather than energized. Good for evening or pre-meeting use.

    After Yapko, Trancework

Where it sits

Liminal places that carry their own rhythm: a night train, the deep ocean, one bell fading, the middle of a crossing.

Why going here does anything

The mind has nowhere to go when it is busy following a single sound down to the end. This journey spends its time on that one easy task of listening, which gives attention a clear path away from other business.

It is not about fixing anything but about letting the bell lead the way into stillness.

Before you press play

  • Not the right session right now if any of these are live for you: tinnitus that worsens with tonal focus.
  • 18+. Age floor set in the catalogue, not by us on the day.

Hypnosis is not for everyone. If you have epilepsy, a psychotic illness, or you are under psychiatric care, talk to your clinician before using this — here or anywhere.
